5.2 Implementing Changes in Employment Status

A change in employment is effected by a personnel action initiated electronically by an authorized representative of a department through Atlas. The action is approved by the school or area when appropriate, also through Atlas, and then automatically submitted to the HR/Payroll Service Center. Such personnel actions include hires, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, appointment extensions, terminations, etc.

For departments, labs and centers using form-based personnel transactions, Academic forms, Nonacademic forms, and other forms for are available on the HR website.
