5.8 Temporary Work Assignment for MIT Employees

Occasionally, individuals are given temporary work assignments outside the local commuting distance and must, therefore, maintain a temporary residence elsewhere in addition to a permanent residence. Such individuals may be eligible for travel subsistence and related expenses which are referred to as dislocation expenses.

Questions concerning dislocation expenses may be directed to the Travel Section of the Vice President for Finance area.
