As is stated in Sections 9.3 and 9.5, harassment or discrimination against individuals on the basis of race, whether intentional or not, is unacceptable at MIT. Racism and racist conduct may undermine a person’s wellbeing and interfere with their work and academic progress or performance; such violations may also taint the work or educational climate for others, and may undermine the Institute’s ability to achieve its mission.
The Institute is committed to the elimination of racism and racist conduct. In any investigation of allegations of racist conduct, the Institute strives to protect the rights of all individuals involved and to safeguard the welfare of everyone in the MIT community.
