In addition to prohibiting sexual violence, MIT prohibits threats, threatening conduct, and acts of violence against MIT faculty, staff, students, other community members, and any other individual conducting business with or on behalf of the Institute, or willful damage to their property or MIT’s property. In addition to the sanctions for violations of employment or student policies, violations of this policy may lead to criminal proceedings.
Concerns about violations of this conduct policy by staff and faculty are not addressed through the complaint resolution process in Section 9.8. Instead, such concerns should be raised to supervisors in the individual’s department, lab, center, or institute (DLCI), to the DLCI human resources staff, or to the Campus or Lincoln Laboratory Human Resources Office.
